LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Authorities are searching for a man who robbed, beat and sexually assaulted a woman near Cedars Sinai Medical Center on July 30.
The victim was approached at 3:30 a.m. as she walked along Burton Way between South Hamel Road and South Willaman Drive.
The man threatened the victim with a handgun, demanded her valuables and directed her to a secluded area where he beat and sexually assaulted her.
He then fled with the woman’s jewelry and money.
The suspect, who is described as African American, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet 1 inch tall, and 180 to 190 pounds, is believed to be between the ages of 26 and 35.
He was wearing a black, button-down collared shirt, dark pants and a baseball cap.
